Single Vineyard from the Riverland, SA. Harvested on flavour to ensure we get the most we can out of this variety. Hand plunged in small tubs during fermentation and left on skins for 2 weeks. Matured in older oak barrels for 12 months before being put to bottle. No fining and no filtration.
Black Red. I remember the first time I tried Montepulciano. The flavours hit me like a Hurricane (thanks Eddie Raven) and I wanted to know all about it. It flows from Blackberry to plum, from cherries to Cranberry, clove, spice, violets. Savoury and earthy with rounded tannins. This wine screams flavour at you and comes through with the goods. Dark brooding beast that will give you a big hug.
